Case #2025-62479
The Baytown Police Department is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred during a police response to a reported family disturbance at approximately 4:00 a.m. at an apartment complex located in the 3700 block of Garth Road.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an adult male who was armed with a knife and failed to comply with verbal commands. The male advanced toward officers, at which point officers discharged their firearms, stopping the threat. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
During a subsequent search of the apartment, officers located an adult female who was deceased and later confirmed to be the mother of the suspect’s children. Their two children were also found inside the apartment and were safely removed by officers and provided assistance.
No officers were injured. The Baytown Police Department Homicide Unit was dispatched to the scene and is leading the investigation. The scene remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
