Official Baytown Police Press Release —
A 29-year-old Baytown man Jesus Planas died Saturday night after the motorcycle he was riding struck a car in the intersection of Garth Rd and Inwood Dr. A preliminary investigation shows motorcycle was an off-road dirt bike which had no headlight, taillight or license plate. According to witnesses, Jesus was riding the dirt bike north on Garth in a reckless manner when a car traveling south turned onto Inwood Dr, causing Jesus to strike the Chrysler on the passenger side. Jesus was not wearing a helmet and was seriously injured. He was flown to a Houston hospital where he later died from his injuries.

An auto-pedestrian accident occurred shortly after 10 PM on Saturday night. The accident occurred at the intersection of Garth and Inwood. The male victim was airlifted to a Houston hospital. Check back for the official Baytown Police press release.
