06.23.21 Auto-Pedestrian Accident on North Alexander Update: Press Release Added

A 75-year-old Baytown woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle in the 1700 blk of N Alexander on Wednesday at 5:05 p.m.  Evidence at the scene shows the victim jaywalked across the three northbound lanes of traffic, all of which were occupied by vehicles traveling approximately 40 mph.  The victim was struck by a mid-size SUV driven by a 24-year-old Baytown man; he was sober and not charged with a crime.  The victim was flown to a Houston hospital in serious condition.

Baytown police, EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident at the intersection of N. Alexander and Ward Road. The accident occurred shortly after 5 PM on Wednesday, June 23rd. The female victim was airlifted to a Houston hospital. Check back fo the official Baytown police press release.
