03.09.21 Disturbance Involving a Weapon at McDonald’s Restaurant

21-11420

On Saturday at 12:25 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance involving a weapon at 1770 Decker Dr, McDonald’s restaurant.  Officers discovered a 46-year-old Crosby man (victim) had shot a 36-year-old Baytown man (suspect) after a  confrontation in the parking lot.  A preliminary investigation shows the suspect was driving his pickup truck in the parking lot and began honking and yelling at the victim and his wife as they walked to their car.  Words were exchanged.  The suspect is alleged to have exited the truck, brandished a knife, returned to the truck, made a lap around the parking lot and allegedly drove aggressively in the direction of where the victim was standing.  The victim drew a concealed weapon and fired at the suspect, striking him at least once.  The suspect was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital by ambulance.  The victim was questioned by detectives and released.  No charges have been filed in this case.
