2020-23690 – On May 10th at 5:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of a ATV accident in the 1600 block of Richardson. Upon arrival officers learned that a 24 year old father and his 7 year old son were riding the ATV southbound in 1600 block of Richardson, reportedly at a high rate of speed, when the ATV struck a speed bump in the roadway which sent the ATV airborne, throwing both riders off of the ATV. The father suffered apparent head injuries and was air lifted to Hermann Hospital to be treated. The 7 year old suffered several abrasions and was transported by ground to Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital to be treated. At last report both were in stable condition. Baytown Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating to determine what if any charges will be filed as a result of the accident.

A male in his mid thirties was airlifted to a Houston hospital on Sunday. The male sustained injuries after his ATV rolled over. The accident occurred in the 1500 block of Richardson Drive off Ward Road. Check back for the official police press release.
