Official Baytown Police Press Release: 2020-12559 – On March 3rd at 7:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to a major auto/pedestrian accident located on SH 146 feeder at Nolan Rd. Call remarks indicated a female, driving a newer model Nissan Xterra, struck a female who was walking in the roadway, northbound on the feeder road. Upon arrival officers found the victim, identified as 38 year old Raylene Cleburn of Baytown, lying in the roadway and unresponsive. Baytown Fire & EMS arrived on location and administered first aid to Ms. Cleburn for approximately twenty minutes, unfortunately however she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The seventeen year old female driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, immediately stopped and called 911. The driver of the vehicle advised she was driving northbound in the outside lane and did not see the victim, who was walking in the roadway as the victim was dressed in all black and the roadway was dimly lit. Shortly after 7 pm tonight, Tuesday March 3rd, an auto pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Lanier and Nolan Road. A female was walking down the road when she was struck by a pickup. Sadly, she died at the scene. No citation was issued to the driver at the scene. �� x�”��v
