Official BPD Press Release:

2019-33345 – On June 6th at 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at 108 Ward Road. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant who advised one of his neighbors, identified as 40 year old Sonny Geiger, had come to his trailer and was banging on the door, cursing and calling for a female, who Sonny believed was inside. The complainant advised after a few minutes of Sonny left and walked back to his trailer. Officers then went to Sonny’s trailer to contact him and once there they observed Sonny walk up to them from another trailer. As officers attempted to talk to Sonny they noticed he was unsteady on his feet and reeked of alcohol. Sonny admitted to being at the complainant’s trailer and continued to be loud and shouting profanities. Officers explained to Sonny that the female he was looking for was not at the complainant’s trailer and advised Sonny to return to his own trailer, however Sonny refused to follow instructions and instead began to walk away from officers. Officers ordered Sonny to stop and that he was under arrest for Public Intoxication, however Sonny still refused to comply and continued to now walk up the ramp of his trailer, which resulted in one of our officers deploying his Taser which was not effective, which resulted in Sonny retreating inside his trailer. Officers attempted several times to have him exit the trailer due to the fact he was advised he was under arrest, which was ineffective initially. However after several minutes one of our officers was able to establish a rapport with Sonny and convince him to exit the trailer, at which time he was taken into custody with no further incident. Sonny was then transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on charges of Public Intoxication.
