03.28.19 Police Searching for Suspect in Assault Case

2019-17907 – On March 28th at 1:09 a.m., officers were dispatched

to the Bayview Apartments in the 6900 block of Main

in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact

 with the complainant who advised she and her boyfriend,

identified as Tyron Griffin, had been in an altercation that quickly

 turned physical. During the physical altercation Mr. Griffin reportedly

 physically assaulted the complainant and even at one point chocked

 the complainant causing the complainant to fear for her life.

 The complainant was able to break free from Mr. Griffin and ultimately

 able to contact the police, during which time Mr. Griffin fled the scene.

 Officers received reports that the suspect was in the fields adjacent

to the complex and set up a perimeter to attempt to locate Mr. Griffin

 to no avail. Based on the evidence at the scene officers contacted

 the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and advised them of the facts

 of the case at which time charges were accepted and ultimately filed on Mr. Griffin

for Assault Family Violence/Impeding Breathing. Mr. Griffin is still at large at this time

 and anyone who may know his whereabouts is asked to contact the
