On May 12, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Michigan Street in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash involving a single occupant driving a truck and a 15-year-old female pedestrian. The 15-year-old sustained injuries and was transported via Life Flight as a precaution. Injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Our Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene, and the case remains under investigation.
