Today at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of N. Alexander Drive and E. James Street in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash.
Preliminary information indicates a gray 4-door Kia struck a 79-year-old female pedestrian who was pushing a bicycle through the crosswalk. The vehicle was turning left on a green light and failed to yield the right of way. The pedestrian was transported by Life Flight as a precaution due to her age and the injuries she sustained. Her injury status is currently unknown. The driver, a 25-year-old Baytown woman, remained on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
