Official Baytown Police Department Press Release Concerning Auto-Pedestrian Fatality on Friday, October 20, 2023
We’re currently investigating an auto-pedestrian fatality that occurred on the 3900 block of IH 10 westbound. On Friday, October 20, 2023, at approximately 4:25 am, officers responded to a welfare concern call. At the scene, they found a deceased 38-year-old male on the roadway who had been struck by an unidentified vehicle. All westbound main lanes at John Martin were temporarily closed, causing traffic diversions for several hours.
