01.26.23 Hot Pursuit From Houston Ends in Baytown/Thursday Night

On Thursday morning around 1 a.m., a Houston Police officer attempted a traffic stop on a 2019 grey Dodge Charger in the 1000 block of Shepherd near Washington Street in Houston.  The vehicle was being driven by 19-year-old Leonell Limon.  Limon decided not to stop and led police in a chase.  Limon traveled northbound on Shepherd and then onto the Katy Freeway. During the pursuit, 19-year-old Limon drove without his headlights on. He then entered onto Highway 225 and eventually Highway 146 to Baytown.  He bailed out of his vehicle on foot in the 400 block of Riverbend (a neighborhood located between North Main and Garth Road). Baytown police assisted at the scene.  Houston Police Helicopter Fox responded to the scene and Limon was apprehended after approximately 20 minutes and taken into custody.  He has been charged with felony evading and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  Also the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen.
