02.07.23 Four News Stories (Press Release Added Below)

Story One: Three men in a stolen vehicle wrecked out and fled on foot. They were pursued by Baytown police and apprehended. Check back for the official Baytown police press release.

Official Press Release:

  • Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2009 White Honda Accord, vehicle that came back as stolen out of Harris County.
  • Officer activated the unit’s emergency lights and sirens. Driver of refused to stop. A pursuit ensued.
  • Both driver and passenger jumped out of vehicle and began fleeing on foot.
  • Officer deployed K9 on both suspects.
  • Driver identified as 37-year-old Mont Belvieu resident, Dion Conner.
  • Passenger identified as 30-year-old Houston resident, Luis Ramirez.
  • Both suspects were transported to Houston Methodist Baytown to treat the injuries sustained by K9.
  • Case Status: Harris County ADA accepted Evading in a motor vehicle charges on the driver (Conner) and Evading on foot on the passenger (Ramirez). 

Story Two:

2023-5661 – Outside Agency Warrant Arrests

On 2/3/2023 at approximately 4:30 am, Officers were in the area of Stonehedge and Quail Hollow following up on information on a wanted suspect. The wanted suspect, 22-year-old Alex Robertson of Baytown, has two felony warrants out of Harris County. One warrant is for Robbery and the other for Assault Family Violence. Officers located Robertson who evaded on foot. Officers quickly set up a perimeter around the area. Multiple K9 units responded along with a drone unit.

Case Status: Harris County ADA accepted the charge of Evading on Foot on Robertson. Officers were able to take Robertson into custody without incident at approximately 6:40 am.

Story Three: (Chambers County) Several motorists called 911 Emergency to report a group of cars driving at excessive rates of speed on I-10 East. One of the vehicles wrecked out and the driver was transported to the hospital.

Story Four: On February 1st, a structure fire occurred at a home on Harvey in Baytown. There were no injuries.
