Enterprise Products Warehouse Fire
At approximately 1:21 a.m. this morning (2/1/21) a call came in to Mont Belvieu 9-1-1 of a warehouse on fire at the Enterprise Products facility at 10207 FM 1942. Mont Belvieu Fire Department responded with Engine 1, Engine 2, Ladder 1, District 1, and EMS units.  When Engine 1 – the first due engine – arrived on scene, they reported the warehouse, identified as a maintenance facility for the plant, was fully involved with heavy smoke crossing nearby roads. Due to the heavy smoke moving out of the facility, Mont Belvieu Office of Emergency Management shut down FM 1942 from SH 146 to Fitzgerald Rd. Responding units used blitz attack equipment to put a large volume of water on the warehouse to contain the blaze. MBFD was joined by Beach City VFD, Cove VFD, Old River-Winfree VFD, and Enterprise Products ERT in the fight. The fire was finally called out at approximately 7:25 a.m. The contents of the warehouse has not been released at this time. No Enterprise employees or first responders were injured as a result of the fire.
