Police Seeking Public’s Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect

On December 9th at 7:05 p.m., Baytown Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Exxon located in the 3600 block of State Highway 146. Upon arrival officers learned a white or Hispanic male with tattoos covering his arms and face had pointed a handgun at the complainant and demanded the keys to the complainant’s vehicle. Although the suspect was unable to obtain the keys, he was able to access the complainant’s truck but was not able to start it so he fled on foot. Approximately thirty minutes later officers were dispatched to a second robbery, this one in the 3200 block or Red Cedar Drive. In that case officers contacted the complainant and learned, what appears to be the same suspect, had stolen their vehicle at gunpoint. Officers learned the complainants were about to leave to go get food when they were approached by the suspect, who pulled a handgun from his waist and demanded money and the keys to their vehicle, which the complainant complied with. The suspect then entered the complainant’s vehicle and fled the area, fortunately leaving the complainants unharmed. The vehicle was subsequently recovered the next day, December 10th, at 4:40 p.m. in the Houston area when the suspect apparently dumped it and stole another vehicle at gunpoint. The Baytown Police Department takes crimes against our citizens very seriously and is committed to the pursuit of justice on behalf of victims of crime.
