Story 1: 2020-54725 – On November 9th at 5:19 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of 4th Street and East Republic. The suspect vehicle failed to stop as the officer activated his emergency lighting and instead attempted to elude the officer. The suspect vehicle continued to flee from the officer, ultimately making his way to the area of Lee and West Nazro, where the vehicle came to a stop and both the driver and passenger fled from the vehicle on foot. Officers pursued the two suspects to a residence in the 1500 block of Yupon, where both were taken into custody. The driver, identified as 17 year old Sasser Devaun, was charged with Felony Evading in a Motor Vehicle while the passenger, identified as 18 year old Jamie McCain, was charged with Misdemeanor Evading on Foot. Both were transported to the Baytown Jail where they were booked on those charges.
Story 2: 2020-55162 – On November 12th at 4:06 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Hazel in reference to a subject who had stabbed himself with a knife after having a dispute with his wife. The male was transported to Herman Hospital in Houston to be treated for his injury.
