2020-40771 – On August 22nd t 4:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of an auto theft in the 2500 block of Doral. The complainant advised her ex-boyfriend, 33 year old Kenneth Holmes of Baytown, had driven off in her father’s truck, a 2016 Toyota Tundra. While enroute to Doral, officers were advised that the complainant tracked the ex-boyfriend’s phone in the area of Kilgore. Upon arriving in the area officers located the truck in a wooded area off of Kilgore. Officers gave several commands for Kenneth to exit the vehicle but received no response. Officers would ultimately approach the vehicle eat which time it was found to be unoccupied. Other officers in the area located Kenneth walking in the area of Ward Road and Narcille, at which time he was taken into custody and transported to the Baytown Jail where he was subsequently charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
2020-40886 – On August 22nd at 9:08 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Goose Creek Park in the 1300 block of West Texas. Upon arrival officers found a male, laying on the ground near the pavilion, who had been shot in the leg. During the initial investigation officers learned the shooting may have been the result of a verbal altercation between the complainant and another male, who was no longer on scene. The male was transported by ground to Herman Hospital with what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury. Detectives are investigating
