2020-20850 – On April 23rd at 1:56 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of West Texas in response to a shots fired call. Upon arrival in the area officers observed several subjects standing in the parking lot of an empty building, with one of the subjects, later identified as Rodney Eligon, holding a handgun. As officers instructed Rodney to drop the weapon he turned and ran into the building where he discarded the handgun before coming back out of the building. All subjects were detained while officers cleared the building and recovered the weapon Rodney had been holding. Rodney was found to have outstanding local warrants and was placed under arrest. The other subjects were released without charges. Rodney was then transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on the local warrants and cited for Discharging a Firearm in City Limits.  Mug shot attached.
