10.24.19 Three Stories: Drive-By Shooting and Two Robberies

2019-61933 – On October 22nd at 10:13 p.m.,

officers responded to a report of a shooting in the

100 block of Booker in Lincoln Cedars. Upon arrival

officers learned a car had stopped in front of a residence

and what is believed to be several subjects exited the vehicle

 and fired numerous rounds at the residence before fleeing the area. 

As a result a 27 year old male, who was inside the residence,

 was struck in the buttocks by a round and was subsequently

 transported to Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital with non-life threatening Injuries. Detectives are investigating.

2019-61929 – On October 22nd at 9:59 p.m.,

officers responded to a report of a robbery at the CVS located

in the 1500 block of Alexander. Upon arrival officers contacted

the complainant, a store employee, who advised a thin black male

entered the store and at one point pulled a gun, jumped the counter

and forced the complainant to open the register, and took all the cash

out of the register. The suspect then fled the store. The suspect is

described as a thin black male, wearing black pants, black shoes,

a bright blue shirt with a black hoodie. He also had on a black ball cap

 and a yellow reflective vest over the hoodie.

2019-61938 – On October 22nd at 10:40 p.m.,

officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Sonic Drive Inn

located in the 3900 block of Garth. Upon arrival officers contacted

the complainant, an employee, who advised that he was taking out the trash

when he was approached by a black male who displayed a handgun and forced him

 into the restaurant. Once inside the restaurant the suspect ordered everyone

 to the ground as he collected the money from the safe, which was already open

 as the restaurant was going through their closing procedures.

 As the suspect was collecting the money he sat the gun on the ground

at which time the complainant realized the gun was actually a BB gun.

 The complainant knocked the gun away and he and the suspect got into

 a physical altercation before the suspect fled the restaurant.

The suspect in this case matched the description of the suspect from

 the CVS robbery which had occurred less than an hour earlier.

 Detectives are investigating.
