09.13.19 Bomb Threat at CVS and Greenpeace Protesters on Fred Hartman Bridge

On September 12th at 7:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to the CVS located in the 3900 block of Garth in reference to a subject who had come into the store claiming to have a bomb. The caller advised a male had entered the store and walked up to the pharmacy and handed the pharmacist a note claiming to have a bomb in his back pack while demanding narcotics. The staff was able to lock down the pharmacy and the suspect ultimately exited the store. As officers arrived at the scene they located the suspect in the parking lot of the store and placed him under arrest without incident. During the arrest officers examined the backpack and did not find a bomb, however they did find a lap top computer that had been stolen earlier in the day from a business in the 1600 block of Garth. The suspect, identified as 30 year old Trevon Ledet, was transported to the Baytown Jail where officers contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and advised them of the case at which time Robbery charges were accepted on Ledet. Mug shot attached.
