Story 3:

2019-47259 – On August 11th at 1:31 a.m., officers responded to 2700 Ward Road in reference to a suspicious person call. The caller stated there was a male hiding under a truck who was breaking things. Upon arrival in the area officers contacted the complainant who advised she heard a loud crash outside then saw a black male wearing a black pants walking towards the mailboxes. While on scene officers observed a window to one of the apartments was broken out and there was blood on the glass and the ground outside. There was a blood trail leading down the stairs and a large pool of blood at the bottom of the stairs. Officers attempted to make contact with the residents of the apartment where the window was broken and the blood trail started to no avail. Concerned someone may be injured inside, officers forced open the door and cleared the apartment, finding no one inside. Officers then followed the blood trail which led them to another apartment where they made contact with the resident and her son, who officers know from prior contacts to have mental health issues. The son had lacerations to his hand and arm as well as blood on his shirt. The male, who was confused and apparently not taking his medication was transported to Houston Methodist Hospital to be treated. No charges filed.
