05.24.19 Three Stories: Accident/Water Rescue/Shooting

On Friday, May 24th at 3:23 a.m., Baytown Police responded to Jack In The Box, located at 3601 North Main Street, in reference to a major accident.  A Baytown officer contacted the driver, a 63 year old  white female, of a white Chevrolet Silverado who struck the restaurant and a trash can.  The driver was issued a citation for failing to control speed and failing to maintain financial responsibility.

Story 2:

Early Friday evening, witnesses watched as a female drove her vehicle across the lawn of  these apartments on Missouri Street and continued directly into the body of water in  the W. C. Britton Park which is located behind the apartments.  Baytown’s Fire and Rescue successfully rescued the female victim.  First reports were she had children in the vehicle, but thankfully now children were on board and the woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Story 3:

Then around 6 pm Friday evening, a drive by shooting occurred in the 6,000 block of Thompson Road.  According to a tow truck driver who was an eyewitness, a blue car passedby and at least one shot was fired from the car striking a young male.  The victim was airlifted a a Houston hospital.
