Lieutenant Steve Dorris Public Information Officer (281) 420-6617 steve.dorris@baytown.org

2019-22077 On April 16th at 12:44 p.m., Baytown Police responded to a smash and grab Robbery at Kay’s Jewelers located at 6300 block of Garth Rd. Upon arrival, officers learned that four suspects, at least one brandishing a weapon, entered the store, began to break the glass display cases and took several pieces of men’s jewelry, including gold chains, watches, and other assorted jewelry. Baytown Detectives responded to the scene and during the course of their investigation learned that the four males arrived in what appears to be a light colored, possibly gray, Nissan Versa. As the suspects entered the store, one of them stayed at the door, presumably as a lookout. After being in the store for a short time the suspects fled the store, got back into the vehicle they arrived in and fled south on Garth Road. It also appears the suspects may have had a lookout outside as well, who was in what is believed to be a black Mazda 3 passenger car. This vehicle arrived in the area at the same time as the suspects and left the area at the same time as the suspects and the light colored suspect vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident however; these suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects and/or the vehicles involved. We have included still pictures of the suspects and the vehicles involved in the hopes that someone in the community will recognize them. The Baytown Police Department takes crimes against our citizens very seriously and is committed to the pursuit of justice on behalf of victims of crime.
