On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 8:15 p.m., Baytown Police responded to the 1800 block of S. SH 146 Business Highway in reference to an accident. A driver in a Silver Lexus was traveling South bound in the North bound lanes. The Lexus had a head on collision with a Gray Toyota Highlander. The driver of the Lexus was pronounced deceased. The deceased was identified as 38 year old Debra Herrera. It is unknown why she was driving the wrong way. The deceased family was notified of the accident. The driver of the Toyota was a 46 year old white female who was transported to Memorial Hermann hospital, last update is that she was in stable condition.

A tragedy tonight in Baytown on Business Highway 146. According to information gathered at the scene, a 39-year-old female died at the scene after travelling in the wrong direction. Reportedly, she was driving south in the northbound lane when she collided with another vehicle. At least one occupant (possible two) from the other vehicle was airlifted to a Houston hospital.
