Update: BPD Press Release —
2018-61382 – On 10-23-18 at 3:25 a.m. officers responded to a shooting at 1200 Northwood ( Laguna Azul ), where a black male was found with a single gunshot wound to the lower abdomen in front of building # 8. Upon arrival officers contacted the victim, a 20 year old male, who was uncooperative with officers and gave conflicting accounts as to where the shooting actually occurred. The victim was transported to Hermann Hospital via ground with non-life threatening injuries.

Around 3:25 am Tuesday morning, Baytown police, EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to a scene at Laguna Azul Apartments on Northwood where a man had been shot in the stomach. The initial report says the man was struck by the bullet as he walked out the door of the apartment. The victim was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
