Police seeking public’s help in identifying Shooter
This morning, at approximately 6:26 a.m., Baytown Police responded to a report of a
shooting in the 9600 block of Pinehurst Drive. As officers arrived on scene they found an
84 year old male lying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the
back.
During the initial investigation officers learned that the victim and another gentleman
were on their morning walk when a vehicle drove up behind them and someone in that
vehicle fired at least one gunshot, which struck the 84 year old. The vehicle, which was
described as possibly a light colored sedan, then fled the area.
The victim, who was conscious and talking at the time, was subsequently flown to a
Houston area Hospital where at last report he was in surgery.
Baytown Detectives are actively investigating and are asking anyone who may have any
information regarding this incident to please contact the Baytown Police Department

Two elderly men were walking down the street in their neighborhood as they do each morning when, according to at least one eyewitnesses, a small silver car  drove up along side the men and someone started shooting.  At least five shots were fired striking one of the elderly men in the abdomen. The incident occurred on Pinehurst Drive off Highway 146 in Baytown. The 84 year old man was airlifted to a Houston hospital.
