Three Stories: In our first story, an accident involving two vehicles occurred this evening on Highway 2354 in Beach City. The female driver of this vehicle died at the scene. No other information is available.

On Thursday, July 12th at 1:12 a.m. ,officers responded to the Fred Hartman Bridge
in response to a welfare concern. The caller indicated a female, being identified
only as a 32 year old Baytown woman, had posted on Facebook
that she was on the Hartman Bridge and was wanting to harm herself.
Upon arrival on scene officers were able to open a dialogue with the obviously
distraught female, who was standing on the roadway side of the railing.
During the course of that conversation officers were able to successfully
detain the female, who was then transported to the Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital
where she was admitted under an Emergency Detention Order so she could be evaluated.
Also on Thursday, July 12 another 18 wheeler fire occurred. The one we first reported was on I-10 West in Chambers County. this one was in the parking lot of the Velaro Truck Stop at North Main and I-10. No injuries were sustained.
