02.17.18 Four Juveniles Led Baytown Police in Hot Pursuit

This afternoon our officers had taken several reports of cars being burglarized in the 4500-4900 block of Garth Road. The suspect vehicle was described as a black Chevrolet Avalanche. Later in the day one  of our officers spotted a vehicle matching that description in the area of Garth and I-10 and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued which led officers to an area outside the city, into Harris County’s jurisdiction. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop and all four subjects inside were taken into custody. The vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Harris County. The suspects are identified as three females and one male, all juveniles. Police are investigating whether or not these are in fact the same suspects from the earlier car burglaries. Felony evading in a motor vehicle charges are pending on the driver. He could also face additional charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle are and Burglary of a Motor Vehicle depending on the outcome of the investigation into the car burglaries and stolen vehicle. The other juveniles could be facing Burglary of a Motor Vehicle charges depending on the outcome of the investigation into the earlier car burglaries.
