06.21.17 Man Arrested/Possession of Synthetic THC Charge

2017-36619 – On June 21st at 5:50 a.m., officers were dispatched
to a report of a fight at the Sterling Bay Apartments, located in the
4600 block of Quail Hollow, in which the complainant advised someone
in a U-Haul truck tried to run over him. Upon arrival officers made contact
with the complainant who advised he was waiting on the stairs of the
apartments waiting for his ride to pick him up for work. The complainant
alleged that a male and a female approached him and asked him to walk
over to their vehicle with them. The complainant stated he did follow them
to their vehicle, however he then stated that the male and female drove off.
He then went on to say that he didn’t understand why police and EMS were
there and that no one tried to run over him. While speaking with the complainant
officers noticed synthetic marijuana packages next to him and evidence of the
synthetic marijuana having been smoked. At this time officers placed the complainant,
identified as 22 year old Armazian Arthur, under arrest for Possession of Synthetic THC.
Officers then contacted a witness who advised they had never seen Mr. Arthur before
but they did observe him lying on the stairwell. The witness also advised that Mr. Arthur
had approached a U-Haul truck that had pulled up in the parking lot and he and the driver
appeared to have gotten into an argument. At one point it appeared the driver of the U Haul
tried to pull Mr. Arthur in the truck, unsuccessfully, before the U Haul drove off at a high rate
of speed. Officers were unable to locate the U-Haul truck. Mr. Arthur was transported
to the Baytown Jail where he was booked for the Possession of Synthetic THC charge.
