2017-31935 – On May28th at 2:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to a wrong way driver in the 900 block SH 146 . Upon arrival in the area Baytown Officers discovered that there had been an accident due to the wrong way driver. During the course of the accident investigation it was determined that the wrong way driver, who was traveling north in the southbound lanes, had collided with another vehicle, which was traveling south in the southbound lanes. The driver of the vehicle going the wrong way, identified as 34 year old Chad Jefferson of Houston, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. LaPorte Police Department handled the arrest and charges in this case therefore I do not have a mug shot of the suspect. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
