The scheduled prayer vigil for Luis Edward Huerta was held on Thursday night, June 16, 2016, at the League of Women Voters Park on Columbia Street where 18-year-old Huerta was shot to death.
In our second story, veterans and families were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in a Bell UH-1E (Huey) helicopter. The special Veterans Day celebration Was held at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 912 on North Main Street. Other features included a car show, military vehicles and a free lunch.
