Fire Teams Investigate Fatal Fire
The investigation continues following a fatal fire in Chambers County, just outside of Baytown city limits.
City of Baytown Fire Department crews were dispatched to a residence on Perch Street shortly after 11am. Firefighters arrived within five minutes and found the home heavily involved.
During a search of the house, crews located the body of a woman who is not being identified at this time. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
The Chambers County Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
