On Sunday, June 29th, at around 2 a.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the 6100 block of North Main Street. They found a large gathering of juveniles and young adults in a nearby field. Upon arrival, gunfire was heard, causing the crowd to disperse on foot and in vehicles, with some not following officers’ commands and damaging property.
Aerial support assisted in locating individuals, and many juveniles were reunited with family members. Multiple agencies, including Harris County, Mont Belvieu, and Chambers County, assisted on scene. Approximately 35 individuals were arrested, while others were released to guardians. The investigation is ongoing.
