UPDATE: Baytown Police is currently investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian incident. On Monday, April 7, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a retail store located at 4900 Garth Road in Baytown, Harris County, Texas, in reference to an auto-pedestrian incident. Baytown Police Department officers responded alongside Baytown Fire Department personnel and arrived on scene within a few minutes. Upon arrival, they located a female victim, approximately 86 years old, who had sustained severe injuries. Lifesaving measures were performed by both bystanders and first responders, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. The driver involved remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The case remains under investigation, and the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
