On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Baytown Police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 5500 block of N. Main Street.
The preliminary investigation indicates an adult male became involved in a verbal altercation with his former partner and her current partner before producing a firearm and firing multiple rounds in the parking lot.
Several vehicles were struck by gunfire. One bystander sustained minor injuries from shattered glass after a bullet struck a nearby window. No other injuries were reported.
The intended victim left the scene and later contacted police. He reported that the suspect pointed a firearm at him. The firearm reportedly malfunctioned before the suspect continued firing.
Officers later located the suspect at his residence, where he surrendered without incident.
The case was presented to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, which accepted two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on 37-year-old Nicholas Davis of Baytown.
