Baytown Police Crime Scene Units and Homicide Detectives are currently investigating a deceased person. On May 28, 2024, approximately 4:30 AM, the Baytown Police Department responded to a call of a disturbance between a male and female at an apartment in the 6000 block of Garth Road. When responding officers arrived on scene, they learned a male subject had barricaded himself inside an apartment where he assaulted the female victim. Not knowing the severity of the injuries or the condition of the victim, officers forced entry into the apartment and found the 60-year-old deceased female on the floor with apparent stab wounds. The male suspect was taken into custody in the apartment without further incident.
