Official Baytown Police Press Release: 2020-63146 – On December 28th at 12:43 a.m., officers responded to a report of one car crash in the 4100 block of North State Highway 146. Upon arrival officers found a passenger car flipped upside down with two females inside. The two females had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Baytown Fire Department personnel and were subsequently air lifted to Hermann Hospital in Houston with the driver in critical condition and the passenger in stable condition. During the preliminary investigation officers learned that the vehicle had been traveling on the service road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the concrete barrier, resulting in the vehicle overturning before it came to rest. Baytown Police Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and what role, if any, alcohol or speed may have played.
