2020-34673 – On July 16th at 5:00 p.m.,, officers responded to a report of a one car major accident in the 700 block of West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg. Upon arrival officers found a black Dodge Challenger had struck the side of a building, Wal-Mart. During the investigation officers learned the Charger was traveling west on Cedar Bayou Lynchburg when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to cross the east bound lanes, jump the curb and strike the side of Wal-Mart. The driver of the vehicle, a 33 year old Baytown man, suffered a leg injury and was air lifted to Herman Hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver was also cited for Failure to Maintain a Single Lane and Striking a Fixed Object.
