2020-6680 – On February 3rd at 7:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a Robbery in progress at the Lakes of Madera Apartments. While enroute officers were advised that two white males had entered an apartment and robbed the occupants before fleeing in what was described as a tan van. Responding officers located the van in the area and attempted to conduct a stop on the vehicle, which came to a stop in the parking lot of the Texaco located at the intersection of North Main and West Baker. Upon stopping, the passenger of the vehicle exited the van carrying a handgun and fled on foot. only to be apprehended a short distance away by officers. The driver of the van remained in the van and was also taken into custody. Officers located items inside the van linking them to the robbery at the apartment, including multiple handguns and a rifle. This investigation is still very active as detectives are conducting interviews and follow up investigation before contacting the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to determine what, if any, charges the two suspects will face.
