Baytown’s Emergency personnel responded to a fire at Centennial Square Apartments on Thursday, May 12, 2016. The 2nd floor of the apartments was evacuated. The fire, which was a grease fire, was quickly extinguished and residents were permitted to return to their apartments.
A Baytown police officer was instrumental in saving the life of a 29-year-old man on Thursday evening, May 12, 2016. The man was observed walking in the 1700 Block of N. Alexander and bleeding profusely. The In an attempt to commit suicide , he cut his forearm with a razor blade. The man continued to refuse to drop the razor blade and was subsequently tased by the office and transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment.
