   Baytown Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

 Case 2010-31820

On August 4, 2010 just before midnight Baytown Police responded to a call of a shooting at the Village Lane Apartments, located at 4601 Village Lane.

Officers arrived to find Gary Spartley, 42 years of age, with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Spartley later told Police he was at the apartment complex to complete a tattoo for an unidentified subject but that when he arrived he was shot by two black males.  Spartley told Police he did not get a good look at the person that shot him but did report that they stole approximately $8,000 worth of tattoo equipment.

At least one of the black male actors in this case is believed to have fled the scene in a white Ford Crown Victoria.  This case is currently under investigation.
