06.18.22 Baytown PD Press Release/Narcotics Arrest

On Thursday, June 16, 2022 the Baytown Police Department
 Special Investigations Division served a narcotic
search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Stowe Street, Baytown, Harris County, Texas. Assisting with serving the warrant
were Baytown Police Department SWAT, members
 of the Baytown Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team,
 and Baytown Police Department K-9. This investigation,
which has spanned several months and is still ongoing,
 is intended to target those who are bringing illegal narcotics
 and violence into our neighborhoods, putting the lives of
our very own citizens at danger. This specific search warrant
 resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of
 quantities of illegal cocaine, marijuana, THC edibles, oils,
 and vapes, and prescription medication. Additionally,
 a stolen handgun was recovered from inside the residence.
 This specific location has been the subject of open-air drug
sales and gun violence; it is important to note it is
 located within 600 feet of Robert E. Lee High School property
 and 1800 feet from Lee College. Arrested and charged
 with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 (
Cocaine), with Intent to Deliver are Baytown residents,
 33-year-old Quentin Odale Taylor and 40-year-old
 Lawrence Jeremy Gipson. The Baytown Police Department
 Special Investigations Division focuses on proactive Gangs,
 Narcotics, and Vice related investigations. The Street Crimes
Unit within SID also focuses on uniformed proactive criminal
enforcement in hot spot and high crime areas as well
