2018-6346 – On February 1st at 2:36 a.m. , officers were dispatched to the Cedar Ridge Apartments located in the 2900 block of West Baker in reference to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant who advised he and his friend were sitting in his car in the parking lot when a black passenger car pulled up behind them and a black male in a white t-shirt exited the vehicle with a handgun and started shooting at his car. The complainant advised he retrieved his handgun from his center console and returned fire. The suspect’s gun fire struck the complainant’s vehicle as well as the patio fence and glass patio door of the friend’s apartment, which was in front of the complainant’s vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. Police are investigating.
Also on Thursday evening, Baytown PD, EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of an auto pedestrian accident on Cedar Bayou Road. The pedestrian did not sustain life-threatening injuries. No other details are available
