01.11.18 Would-Be Thieves Ran After Security Guard Shot at Them

2018-1908 –  On January 11th at 12:58 a.m., officers responded to the Chevron gas station located in the  1900 block of Interstate 10 in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant who advised three subjects in an F-250 rammed the front of the store in an attempt to steal the ATM. The three subjects, after ramming the front of the store, exited the F-250 wearing ski masks and carrying handgun. As the three suspects entered the store, an armed security guard who was working at the store drew his weapon and fired several shots at the suspects at which time all three suspects fled store on foot.  It is unknown if any of the shots fired struck any of the suspects, however several of them did strike the F-250. During the initial investigation it was determined that the F-250 was in fact stolen out of Baytown. None one was injured during the incident and Detectives are investigating,
