Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne reports that today, November 1, 2017, at approximately 9:45 a.m. the Chambers County Covert Investigation Unit and
Patrol Division executed a search warrant for an illegal gambling
operation at the I-10 Travel Plaza, 16151 I-10 East, in Chambers County.
Several gambling machines were seizedalong with approximately $15,000 in cash.
Charges are pending against the owner of the location.
