Early this morning, a 33 year old male on a motorcycle was being pursued by Chambers County Sheriff’ deputies. Around 2:15 am the fleeing male approached the Highway 99 Bridge at Tri City Beach in Baytown and decided to leap from his motorcycle and leap off the bridge. The male, who had multiple warrants from Harris County, Chambers County and Dayton, took a 60 foot dive and miraculously survived when he hit, not the water, but the ground. Afterwards the ambulance that was transporting him to Lifeflight became stuck in the mud. Another ambulance soon arrived on the scene and transported the man to the helicopter that airlifted him to a Houston hospital.
