On 21 June 2017 at approximately 9:00 am it was reported to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office of a missing elderly couple from Winnie Texas. Once notified deputies contacted local hospitals and did a complete check of the area. A Silver Alert was issued for Claude and Lena Credeur. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Galveston County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office stating that the couple had been located on the beach near High Island. At that time is was reported that Claude Credeur, 86 years old was deceased but Lena Credeur was found alive. Lena Credeur was transported to UTMB Galveston and is in stable condition. The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation.
