2017-35895-On June 17th at 2:12 a.m., officers responded to a major accident in the 8300 block of North Main. The accident was a single vehicle (motorcycle) accident. Upon arrival officers learned the motorcycle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger, who were both sitting in the roadway when officers arrived. The female had sustained serious injuries and was flown to a Houston area hospital to be treated for her injuries while the male only suffered minor injuries. During the course of the investigation officers learned that the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 39 year old Sean Obanion of Baytown, had lost control of the motorcycle after of hitting a curb, causing both him and the female passenger to be thrown from the motorcycle. Evidence at the scene led officers to believe that Mr. Obanion was intoxicated, therefore he was arrested and transported to San Jacinto Hospital where a warrant was served for a sample of his blood. Mr. Obanion was then then transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Mug shot attached.
