At 12:52 a.m., officers were dispatched to an attempted robbery/carjacking in the parking lot of 24 hour Fitness. The victim met two female friends in the parking lot and they were preparing to leave for Galveston in the victim’s vehicle. The victim advised he was talking with the females, when he heard a tapping on his window. The victim looked and observed an unidentified H/M with a handgun. The victim put the car in drive and fled north through the parking lot. The suspect fired one time at the vehicle, which penetrated the car door, striking the victim in the hand. The victim drove himself to San Jacinto Hospital for treatment. Detectives are investigating.
