On Thursday, January 31st
, 2017 at approximately 1:05 p.m., Baytown Police were
notified of a 10 year old female who had gone missing from her residence in the
4100 block of Waterwood Drive. The missing child is identified as Jaidyn Amiot
and is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 120 pounds with brown hair
and brown eyes. Jaidyn has a medium complexion and a medium build and suffers
from depression.
Detectives have learned during the investigation that the child was last seen by her
grandmother on January 30
th at approximately 11:30 p.m. when Jaidyn went to bed.
When the grandmother went to wake Jaidyn for school at 6:30 a.m. on the 31st she
noticed Jaidyn was missing. Jaidyn has a history of running away and it is believed
that is the case this time. It us unknown what Jaidyn was wearing when she left the
residence. Due to the very young age of Jaidyn we are obviously concerned for her
safety and welfare and we are seeking the public’s help in locating her.
The Baytown Police Department asks anyone who may know the whereabouts of
Jaidyn, or have any information regarding her disappearance to please call the
Baytown Police Department at 281-422-8371.
